A Little More Holiday Fun
I’m finishing up our holiday fun today with what we did on New Years Eve and the days after. Here are some pictures of our fun.
On New Years Eve we went bowling. Hailey had never been bowling before and she was really excited to try it out. See her cute little bowling shoes?

Hailey had a lot of fun bowling. She did have one little mishap when she tried to take off down the lane to get her ball. I didn’t expect her to do it so I wasn’t ready to catch her. And as you know those lanes are very slippery. So she slipped and fell backwards hitting her head on the floor. She was fine after a few minutes and really enjoyed the rest of the bowling (and did not try to run after her ball again).
After bowling we spent New Years Eve at my parents house playing games, eating and talking. Except for Rich- he hadn’t been feeling well since the afternoon and by the evening time the stomach bug had hit him full force. For some reason I didn’t get any pictures of our New Years Eve but we did have a great time (except for Rich being sick).
In the morning Hailey helped Uncle Matt make some of his famous pancakes and we enjoyed a big breakfast.
Later on Hailey and Aunt Ellie made some cookies that they found in Hailey’s new cookbook she got for Christmas.

The next day Hailey and Pa did a little sled riding.

We had lots of fun while visiting with everyone over Christmas vacation. We can’t wait to see everyone again!

What great fun and great pictures. She looks like she had so much fun bowling, cooking and sledding. Btw I have the same apron that Miss Hailey is wearing in the cooking picture.
Okay, first of all, your daughter has gorgeous eyes! wow! The pic of her sitting on the counter is ADORABLE! (although they all are, but that one is classic) and I LOVE the expression of her going down the hill! GREAT captures!
Btw, you SHOULD try the boiling water thing in the air. 0 degrees should do it. I think.
I love ALL the pictures but I think my favorite is the close-up that her Uncle Matt took.

Wow, not only does she vacuum, and bake but she also bowls and sleds?! Yep, one day she is going to make some man really happy!
Your daughter is so stinkin cute! My girls had a great time when we took them bowling this summer – got to love bumpers
We don’t have any snow here but hopefully it will snow one of these years when we head back to OH for Thanksgiving so we can take them on a sled ride – looks like so.much.fun!

I could almost do this exact same post except not from New Years. We too took our daughter bowling for the first time not long ago. She too went slipping around on the lane. So funny how they learn these little lessons. We also love baking and sledding. Sounds like you had a great time!

I think my earliest memory with my grandfather was tobogganing. I remember the snow in my face and the fast speed. Good memories. Hailey will have them too!
