I went and changed into my sweatpants and an old sweatshirt to do some cleaning and Hailey looked at me and said, “Are those your old lady clothes?”

I wanted Hailey to come and get dressed the other morning but I thought she might be working on a surprise in her diaper for me.  I told her to come on to get dressed and she responded by saying, “In a minute I am.  I have to finish my business.  Let’s leave stinky alone.”

Hailey wasn’t listening and was not doing what she was supposed to do so Rich told her sternly that she had better start listening.  She said, “You’re making the little girl sad.

Hailey was trying to torture Dottie by chasing her around the house with her doll stroller.  Rich took the stroller and put it away where Hailey couldn’t get it.  Hailey came to me with tears in her eyes and said, “Mommy, how come Daddy thinks I’m not special?”

Hailey and I were talking about what different relatives do for their jobs.  She likes to talk about how Gramma helps the kids learn their ABC’s and how Uncle Matt plays with chemicals.  So, she went through the list of everyone and she told me what everyone does.  When she was finished I said, “And what does Mommy do?”  She smiled at me and said, “Mommy gets to get Hailey.”
