Wedding Weekend

February 7th, 2011 Melanie Posted in Celebrations, Family, Hailey | 1 Comment »

A few weeks ago my cousin Ashley got married.  Hailey was a flower girl in her wedding and we went away for the weekend for the wedding.

Hailey and her cousin Anika and the rehearsal.

Best friends :-)

After the rehearsal and the dinner we went back to our hotel to hang out for the evening.

Hailey and Anika tried to convince us that they would sleep if we let them stay together.  Ha!

All ready for bed.

The next morning after a yummy breakfast the girls went swimming.

All ready to get in the pool.

Then it was time to get ready for the wedding.  I’ll post pictures of the wedding separately since I have so many.

Snowy Fun

Last week while Rich was out of town I had to do the shoveling :-(  Hailey came out to help me and then we played in the snow for a little while afterwards.  I took a few pictures of the snowy fun.

New Years Party

January 19th, 2011 Melanie Posted in Family, Hailey, Rich | No Comments »

On New Years Eve we all decided it was time to get out and do something.  So we went roller skating.

Hailey was pretty excited about going.

Standing up with her skates on… she fell a few seconds after I took this picture.

Rich helping Hailey skate around the rink.

Not such a fan of skating now.

Hailey decided to cuddle with Aunt Ellie instead of going skating.

Then Rich came up with the idea to let Hailey wear her sneakers and stand on the thing you push while he skated her around the rink.

She loved it.

Everyone took turns giving her rides around the rink.

Then Rich and I went off to pick up our new car and some pizza to get the party going back at my parents’ house.

Hailey and her cousin Brady :-)

Hailey made it until midnight and yelled “Happy New Year!”

One New Years Day we had a delicious breakfast before Matt, Ellie and their furry children had to hit the road.  Hailey had to say goodbye and get a picture with each of the animals.

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation!!

Even More Christmas Vacation Fun

January 18th, 2011 Melanie Posted in Celebrations, Family, Hailey, Rich | No Comments »

The rest of our Christmas vacation week seemed to go by in a blur.  Here are a few highlights.

On Tuesday- Hailey enjoyed playing with her Polly Pockets Roller Coaster.  Then she spent the day with Grandma and Pa while Rich and I went car shopping.

On Wednesday we had dinner and game night over at our house.  Hailey, Aunt Ellie and Uncle Matt played a noisy game of Hungry, Hungry, Hippos.

Then we played Rook (which I won :-) ) while Hailey drew pictures for everyone.

On Thursday Hailey played with Grandma and Pa again while Rich and I did more car shopping.  We were more prepared with our car shopping and found a SUV that we wanted.  Afterwards we all went out to the Olive Garden for dinner.
