The 2nd annual 4th of July Extravaganza took place this year, once again at my parents’ house.

Friday started out with Anika coming over to our house to play with Hailey.

They had fun dressing up as princesses.

They had a serious discussion out by the swingset.

Hailey had some laughs in the pool.

Anika loved the pool too!

Later on as people arrived from out of town they all came over to our house for some dinner.

I guess I was having too much fun talking to take any other pictures the first night, so this is all I have.  More pictures to come of the rest of the weekend.

Since it’s almost Father’s Day I decided it was time to get caught up on my blogging and post about Mother’s Day.

Hailey’s pre-k class had a Mother’s Day Tea that was sooooo wonderful!  When the moms arrived each child came and escorted his or her mom to her seat.

Smiling next to her food- we had salad and sandwiches and cookies.  The kids made everything and it was so delicious!

Then the teachers held up a picture each kid had made for his/her mom and read something the kids had said about their moms.  We had to try to guess which one was about us.

This is the picture Hailey drew- and I recognized Hailey’s drawing right away.

These were the things Hailey said about me.  So cute!

It was such a nice Mother’s Day Tea and I had the best time!

When Hailey got up on Easter morning she found a trail of eggs going down the hallway.  Inside each egg was some yummy chocolate!

She quickly found where the Easter bunny hid her basket.  He’s going to have it make it a little harder next year.

Hailey was happy to see Gnomeo and Juliet in her Easter basket.

And she loved getting Bambi!

At church the kids came in and sang.

After church we had a yummy dinner at my parents’ house.  My mom made this lamb butter sculpture.  So cute!

And some Easter penguins (ha!) out of hardboiled eggs.

Hailey and Pa had several rounds of an Easter Egg hunt.
