Guess Who Dressed Me Today
The other morning Rich changed Hailey’s diaper and got her dressed. Without being asked.
I was listening from the kitchen. First I heard him tell Hailey the weather would be nice so she could wear shorts. Then I heard him asking, “Do you want to wear this shirt?” And I heard Hailey say, “No.” That same question and answer were repeated several times. Finally Hailey agreed to a shirt.
On their way back out to the kitchen I heard Rich say, “I’m not sure if this outfit matches. How do you even know if it matches?”
And when Hailey came around the corner this is what I saw her wearing.
We didn’t have anywhere to go, so I left the outfit on her. I did have to at least brush her hair though.
As long as Rich will change diapers and get Hailey dressed without being asked I don’t mind what he puts on her. Unless I have to take her out in public that is.

This SO reminds me of our household! This made me laugh!
lol, so funny.
That’s cute! ANd she seems happy with it!
Sometimes on those days at home the best is just to be comfortable. And you are right…if Rich will help…who cares.
Too funny…my kids always look so mismatched when hubby dresses him…always shocks me.
Very cute baby girl, and very cute shirt!
Sometimes my husband is mismatched. Ha
Dad’s are great, aren’t they? Even when they are color-blind!
Hi – I’ve seen you around the chat boards at The Mom Blogs, thought I would pop in and say hi … I like your header, it makes me ache for warm weather
HAHAHAHA! What a cutie Boys are so much easier . . . everything they own matches. Girls . . . ay yay yay! My daughter has pronounced herself to the world in many colorful outfits. It was easy when she was little . . . I put matching outfits in the sections of a shoe hanger holder thingy in her closet . . . good for both her and dad Now, she dresses herself . . . she still does better than dad!
my hubby doesn’t know what matches either. the worst is when he’s home with them when i’m at work and he meets me in the city for the evening. the kids are OUT IN PUBLIC wearing whatever he found for them that day.
we have had some scary outings….
LOL, my girls have worn some pretty ‘interesting’ daddy-picked outfits too. Nowadays Ron tries to put jeans on them if possible just to avoid any ‘matching’ questions…
Adorable. I love it when they dres themselves. One Mother’s Day my daughter did her own hair for my present (she was 3) She put 20+ clips in her hair, so funny.
LOL! I love it. Yeah that Rich got her dressed. Just wait until she is dressing herself- you still won’t care what outfit she puts on – as long as she is dressing herself. I also found that it got easier to just let Ashlyn in whatever outfit and tell people “she dressed herself” instead of fighting her to change. Anyone who has ever had children understands!
She looks darling, but the daddy’s do have issues with matching, don’t they? It’s always fun to see what they will put on them.
Have a good evening – see you – Kellan
Oh that’s hilarious. My husband is still in training too! That was way too cute Melanie!
Well at least she is cute and happy! But when she is older she will be a bit upset over this picture!!
Ha! This reminds me of the hub…heheh. But yes, I don’t mind as long as we’re not going out…and more importantly, as long as he does it on his own accord.
lol – that was hilarious! But Hailey still looks so cute – she could wear anything and still look cute!
haha…that is awesome…and she looks so proud to be in that outfit too!
Voted today!!
