…a few weeks ago, it was spring.  It’s a good thing I took pictures on the nice spring day, because the weather has been awful ever since.

Hailey is going to start playing T-ball soon, so she was getting some practice.

Hailey has been helping me make her bed for a while.  But one day this month she went in her room and made her bed all by herself without being told to.  She was so proud of how good she did and I was too!  She now has a chore chart called “My Royal Duties” with all of her daily chores on it, including making her bed (and also setting the table, feeding the dog and cleaning up her toys).

Hailey’s UPK class has an “All About Me” bag and each week one of the kids takes the bag home and brings back 5 things to show the class.  Hailey was sooooo excited when it was her turn!

Here are the 5 things she picked: An autograph book/photo album from Disney World, a My Little Pony, Maximus (the horse from Rapunzel), a stuffed dog that looks like Dottie and her Dora doll.

Hailey is very particular about what she wears.  She loves picking out her own outfits and this is just one example of her sense of style  And you can’t tell from the picture, but her leggings are inside out.

I absolutely love this age and Hailey’s personality.  She says things daily that make me laugh.  I decided I wanted to do a post of a few things that she says at this age that I want to remember.

Anytime something hurts her feelings she said, “That made my feelings sad.”

Hailey uses the word “actually” all of the time.  Like when she is telling me something that she clearly thinks I should have known, “Well, actually Mom…”

Another thing she says all the time is “hardly barely.”   She’ll say things like “There’s hardly barely any left.”  Or “I hardly barely had any time to play.”

She is always telling me she needs just a moment.  One time she told her soccer coach, “Can I just have a moment please?”  Every time I tell her it’s time to get out of the bathtub she says, “But I haven’t even had a moment to play!”

This is definitely my favorite age- I absolutely love Hailey at 4!  (She would say, “Actually Mom, I’m 4 1/2!”)

Hailey has been playing soccer for the last couple of months through a great program that goes to her prek program.  This week was her last week.  There is another session starting up at the end of this month- but we haven’t decided yet if she’ll do it again.  She loved it, but she’s going to be playing t-ball 2 nights per week and has dance once  a week.  So, soccer might be a bit much.
