Here is what we were up to during the month of July:

Hailey went to a dance camp this month, which she loved!  On the last day they did a little performance to show us some of what they had learned.

Hailey learned to ride her bike!  We live on a hill, so she doesn’t ever have a chance to practice riding her bike.  We took her to a nearby school one day with a nice flat area to learn and off she went!

We celebrated my dad’s birthday.

 I can’t believe that 2nd grade is already over.  We had a great year and Hailey has grown up so much!

We took a last minute weekend getaway over the weekend.  I like being able to plan ahead and Rich likes to be spontaneous.  Rich asked me on Friday evening if I wanted to go away that weekend and I really didn’t want to, but I knew it would be fun for Hailey and Hunter.  So, I said yes and then rushed around the house getting ready to go.

Our hotel had an indoor water park.  We have been to the Great Wolf Lodge before, so I think we were all kind of expecting it to be like that.  It was much smaller, but still a lot of fun.

There was also an amusement park across the street, which Hailey and Hunter loved!  Since I’m about 7 months pregnant I couldn’t actually go on any of the rides.  But it was still fun to watch Hailey and Hunter have fun.

It was pretty hot out so we decided to head back to our hotel to try out the water park.

Later that evening we got ready for story time- Hunter did not want to wear his pajamas out of our hotel room, so he wore his clothes to story time.

The next day, we headed back to the theme park for more fun:

Afterwards we did a few more rides and then went back to our hotel for more fun in the indoor water park.  It was pretty empty and Haiely and Hunter were able to just do what they wanted without waiting.  They had a very fun weekend and even though all of the walking was really hard on me, I was glad I agreed to be spontaneous!
