Our hotel had an indoor water park.  We have been to the Great Wolf Lodge before, so I think we were all kind of expecting it to be like that.  It was much smaller, but still a lot of fun.

There was also an amusement park across the street, which Hailey and Hunter loved!  Since I’m about 7 months pregnant I couldn’t actually go on any of the rides.  But it was still fun to watch Hailey and Hunter have fun.

It was pretty hot out so we decided to head back to our hotel to try out the water park.

Later that evening we got ready for story time- Hunter did not want to wear his pajamas out of our hotel room, so he wore his clothes to story time.

The next day, we headed back to the theme park for more fun:

Afterwards we did a few more rides and then went back to our hotel for more fun in the indoor water park.  It was pretty empty and Haiely and Hunter were able to just do what they wanted without waiting.  They had a very fun weekend and even though all of the walking was really hard on me, I was glad I agreed to be spontaneous!

After breakfast we headed to the boat to take the short ride to Magic Kingdom.

The fairies had a short wait, so we stopped there first.

While they rode Splash, Hunter and I waited in line to meet Woody and Jessie.  Rich and Hailey met up with us when it was almost our turn.

When it was time for a group picture, Hunter decided he was a bit scared of Woody, so Rich had to join them.

We love Mickey’s Philharmagic and Hunter was so into it!  He loved trying to catch all the flying objects.

Afterwards we had a little surprise for Hailey.  Anna and Elsa had been having a 4+ hour wait and we told Hailey there was no way we were waiting that long.  She didn’t know that I had gotten a fast pass before our trip to be able to go see them.  So, we waited in line to meet them, but she didn’t know who we were waiting to see.  After about a 2 minute wait they let us in the room to meet Anna and Elsa- Hailey was so excited!

Then they met Aurora.  Hunter asked her where Prince Philip was.  No one told him to ask that, so it was cute that he thought of it on his own.  She told him that Prince Philip was off fighting dragons, which left quite the impression on Hunter.

It was a great second day!

The night before we were set to leave we drove to the airport we were leaving from.  It was several hours away and we were not familiar with the area, so we decided to stay at a hotel the night before.  The great part was our hotel stay included parking for our whole trip to Disney World, so we could leave our car there while we were gone and not have to worry about parking at the airport.

The next morning we got all ready to leave for the airport to go to Disney World!  Hailey and Hunter were both so excited!

It was dinner time at this point, so we went down and ate dinner at the food court- The Roaring Fork.  We were so close to the food court- it was perfect!!  We had to walk a few steps down the hall to the elevator and then a few steps from the elevator to the food court.  Our room could not have been in a better location (well, unless it was right in Cinderella’s castle ).

Then we went down to the boat to head over to Magic Kingdom for a little while.

This was definitely one of my favorite parts of staying at the Wilderness Lodge- we loved the quick boat ride to Magic Kingdom.

We finished up the evening by watching the fireworks before we headed back to our hotel to get rested up for our the next day.

Hailey and I had a girls day, it was so much fun!!  We started out having lunch at Friendly’s.  Yummy and so nice to just sit and talk to my little miss.  She is growing up so fast.

After lunch we went and saw Monsters University.  We loved it!

We finished up our girls day by having our nails done.  It was such a nice day and Hailey made me so happy when she said it was the best day ever   And I agreed- it was a perfect day!!

And that was the end of July

If you have ever been to our house then you know that the front steps leading up to our front door were a mess. They were very uneven and needed to be redone.  I didn't get before picture, but I took one soon after Rich started the work.

You can see where he started digging to build the new steps… the old steps have dirt piled on them that he dug out of the ground to build the new steps.  You can kind of see how crooked the old steps were.

Here are the new steps all beautifully built.  Rich put a wall where the old steps were and filled it in with dirt.  The flowers were waiting to be planted.

I don't have great luck with flowers, they never seem to do very well for me.  Instead of just using the dirt that Rich dug up from where our new steps are, I thought it would be best to use some Miracle-Gro.  Some good products to use are: Shake n’ Feed Moisture Control All Purpose Plant Food and Moisture Control Potting Mix or LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kit.
